The Daewoo Foundation has long operated Art Sonje Center, expanding the possibilities of contemporary art.

The Daewoo Foundation is currently working alongside Wando County to renovate the ancillary spaces of the former Wando Daewoo Hospital site on Nohwa Island — including the dormitory building, mortuary, and boiler room — into the healing art museum SHIWM, with other specialists.

Renovation of the Wando Healing Art Museum SHIWM is scheduled for completion in July 2026, and the museum will open to the public as a new exhibition space on 6 September, coinciding with the grand opening of the Wando Healing Art Museum.
