Open Call Results

Thank you to all the artists who took part in the Daewoo Art Campus (SHIWM) International Open Call.

The Daewoo Foundation and Wando County are developing the 'Daewoo Art Campus' on Nohwa Island, Wando, and this international open call was a meaningful project carried out as part of that initiative. We were honored to welcome applications from many artists around the world, including the United States, France, Canada, Australia, and China. Following the first-round document review, 150 finalists were selected, and the final presentation review was conducted with 10 finalists.
On September 6th, each artist (or team) presented for 15 minutes followed by a Q&A session with review committee members Oh Se-won, Lee Ji-eun, Cho Ju-ri, Park Kyung-rin, Lee Moon-jung, and Ahn Hyun-jung. Final discussions are currently underway with the top-scoring candidate; should these discussions be unable to proceed for unavoidable reasons, we will individually contact the next-ranked artist by September 10th.
For the finalists who were not ultimately selected this time, we will give priority consideration for future opportunities such as exhibition support and artwork acquisition.
We were deeply moved by the passion and talent you showed from the very first stage of the application process. We hope our relationship with Daewoo Art Campus continues in a positive way, and we wish every one of you the very best in your future endeavors.

Thank you.
